About the Artist – Ellen Mundy

Ellen Mundy is a proud Ngarigu woman from the mountains of the Australian Alps, the traditional lands of the Ngarigu and Walgul people - First Nations custodians of the ACT and southern NSW region.

Ellen has spent her life fighting for her heritage and tribal recognition, standing strong in her cultural identity and connection to Country. Her determination and leadership are well known and deeply respected within her community.

While Ellen is not a prolific artist, her work is grounded in cultural strength and lived experience, making each piece a powerful reflection of who she is and where she comes from.
